IPL 2023 के 26वें मैच में लखनऊ सुपर जायंट्स (LSG) ने राजस्थान रॉयल्स (RR) को 10 रन से हरा दिया। मुकाबले में लखनऊ की टीम ने पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 155 रनों का लक्ष्य रखा, जिसके जवाब में राजस्थान की शुरुआत अच्छी रही और टीम ने 12वें ओवर तक 87 रन बना लिए और उसने इस दौरान एक ही विकेट गँवाया। ऐसे में एक समय पर लग रहा था कि राजस्थान की टीम यह मैच आसानी से जीत लेगी लेकिन अंत के ओवरों में टीम ने लगातार कई विकेट खो दिए जिस कारण नतीजा उनके पक्ष में नहीं रहा। वहीं फैंस राजस्थान के लिए फिनिशर की भूमिका में खेलने वाले रियान पराग को इस हार का जिम्मेदार ठहरा रहे हैं।
दरअसल, 16वें ओवर में जब पराग बल्लेबाजी के लिए क्रीज पर आए तब राजस्थान को जीत के लिए 51 रन बनाने थे। इस दौरान पराग अपनी टीम के लिए तेजी से रन जुटाने में नाकामयाब रहे और 12 गेंदों में 15 रन ही बना सके। खास बात यह है कि पराग पिछले कई मौकों पर असफल साबित हुए लेकिन फ्रेंचाइजी लगातार उनपर विश्वास जता रही है। वहीं फैंस उन्हें टीम से बाहर करने की मांग कर रहे हैं और सोशल मीडिया पर उनका मजाक भी उड़ाया जा रहा है।

मैच की बात करें तो 2019 के बाद पहली बार राजस्थान रॉयल्स जयपुर के सवाई मानसिंह स्टेडियम में खेलते हुए नजर आई जहाँ स्थानीय दर्शकों का राजस्थान की टीम को बेहद सपोर्ट मिला लेकिन वह उसके अनुरूप प्रदर्शन करने में नाकामयाब रहे। 155 रनों के लक्ष्य के जबाव में राजस्थान की टीम निर्धारित 20 ओवर में 6 विकेट खोकर 144 रन ही बना सकी।
